Do I feel Love?

“Cause everybody knows, the hardest war to fight is a fight to be yourself  when the voices try to turn you into someone else”.
                                                   ~Switchfoot

~Do I Feel Love?~

Creating scenarios in my head.
Coming up with ideas that make sense to me, but others does not reciprocate.
I make up stories that play out in my mind.
I hope that they come to pass.

I look and see that I cannot do this on my own.
But here I am trying anyway.
Here I am acknowledging my own limitations.
Yet I still try to do things by myself.

I break down.
I fall down.
I go on and become who I am.
I look and do not see.

The world does not provide the cover I need.
It does not have the answers I seek.
I need the water to wash me clean.
I need a helping hand to pull me up when that water washes over my head.

I craft scenarios in my head.
Where I am loved by all
Where I am accepted by the masses
Where I am more capable of doing things by myself.

My weeping can be turned into rejoicing.
My pain can learn to love.
Even when I do not feel love and doubt why anyone would love me.
I must always press on.

Trust

To trust myself, to trust someone else, to trust the doubt in the back of my mind.
                                                                                ~Christina Perri

~Trust~

Lonely
Why do we have to be so lonely?
In the presence of nothing there is still something.
Lonely
Why do we have to be so lonely?

Pain
Why do we let pain decide?
In the pain there is healing.
Pain
Why do we let pain decide?

We all get thrown under the bus.
We all have those who will never like us.
Show love anyway.
Because it is not worth going through life anxious that someone is out to get you.

When we sit alone and dwell on all the things that have gone wrong,
Pain comes.
When we do not get up and show the love of God to people,
We have no reason to complain that we are alone.

Trust in the Lord,
Even when He feels so far away.
Trust in the Lord and direct your path with the best plans He has for you.
Do this and even if you feel alone, remember He has not forsaken you.

Life Reacts in Mysterious Ways

"Different roads sometimes lead to the same castle."
~George R.R. Martin

~Life Reacts in Mysterious Ways~

Life reacts in mysterious ways.
It intertwines knots and unties straight lines.
Life runs when walking and walks when propelling at the speed of light.
It deepens in the shallow end and it walks on flat feet in the deep.

Below can be above while the back is the front.
The dichotomy of black and white serves its purpose everyday you are alive.
There is death in life and when you are resurrected a man dies.
What is more sad the pain of life or standing still and waiting for something to happen?

Life can be diverse, and life can be sparse.
At times it feels like it is both at the same time.
We do not always know why things happen the way they do.
But I have a hope that someone is in control.

A saint murders and a atheist helps the poor.
Inner peace is disrupted by war,
and karma is too tired to fight back.
This is life, and life is beautiful.

Life reacts in mysterious ways.
I can have all the confidence in the world,
and then she does not show up and I fall flat and make mistakes.
Then bounce right back when friends sacrifice their lives.

Life hits hard.
Confidence is shaken and prayers are not answered.
You drive and fail, you drive again and you are thrown from the ride.
Life is a ride that takes too many left turns.

In an age of connectivity people feel oh so alone.
In a world bound together by fibers and cords, why are there people who still have no friends?
The nation is a lonely one if you do not create a world where you belong.
Thankfully others can populate that world as well.

Somehow this line has an end...mathematically that makes no sense.
But life is not ruled solely by science and math.
Faith versus science, and time versus eternity.
Clean can be dirty, when the dirty can be clean again.

Life reacts in mysterious ways.
How then do we approach an ever changing aspect ratio?
We live it one day at a time,
We go off and take it in stride, even when we feel we are standing still.

So go forth and live this dichotomy known as life.
Go forth and and live lies and tell truths.
Make mistakes and ask for forgiveness.
Live your life, for life reacts in mysterious ways.
A choose your own adventure book where love should be a constant and not a variable.

Life reacts in mysterious ways,
How will you live?
How will you be remembered, or not?
Who will you impact?
Left can be right, what will you choose?

~Get Up and Move~

"Clap your hands all ye children. There's a clamor in your whispering. Clap your hands tonight. Hear what the silence screams"
                                                            ~ Anberlin

~Get Up and Move~

Stunted growth when we start to feel comfortable.
Sitting here at a stand still basking in no progress at all.

Move like it is the last days of your world.
Dance and be joyful in your sorrow and your happiness.

Do you believe in the sacrifice of love and strength?
Do you think it is fine to dance and sing because life is short?

Stand up and move, taking one step at a time.
Lift one leg up and propel forward even if you have no desire.

Sometimes you look to your left and you see people there.
Sometimes you look to your right and you see more.
But you feel so alone.

Water and light grow us up.
The problem is we stand still undercover where light and water does not flow.

Give thanks, and cry out in times when you are here, and the world is over there.
Let love be strong, let love cry out, let love bring the world under your feet.

Sometimes you look in front of you and the bounty is great.
Sometimes you look around and the gifts are overflowing.
But you feel so alone.

Clap your hands, everyone.
Clap your hands and bring joy to those around you.

Bring voices up to Heaven.
Make it a sweet sound and clap your hands for love, grace, and happiness.

Children know happiness and joy best.
Children can see a rock and to them it is a mansion.

Stunted growth is hard to fix.
Stunted growth is a heart of stone.
Give me a shot of adrenaline, so I can dance and move for you.
Rejoice, and move, rejoice, and dance, rejoice for pain is a season.
Stand up, move your feet and love to worship, love to be a man.

Offended by Everything

"It's just water and I am just soul
With a body of water and bone
Water and bone"
                                    ~Switchfoot

~Offended by Everything~

Destiny, fate, what is the authority we have?
The dead brought back to life, the authority in this world.
The soul broken down, needing to be refilled.

Can miracles happen when the soul is tired?
Do we believe, when belief is limited to a child's eye?
The soul broken down, needing to be refilled.

My body is flesh and bone.
Why does this world put so much stock in it?
My hope comes from my soul, not the body I am enslaved in.

Destiny, fate, what is the hope we have?
The sick healed, the authority of this world.
The soul broken down, needing to be refilled.

Blessed is he who is not offended by everything.
It is to easy to cry over spilled milk.
Blessed is he who humbles himself and trusts in the other side.

Fight for Love

This is a call to arms. Gather soldiers time to go to war, This is a battle song. Brothers and sisters, time to go to war.
                                                              ~30 Seconds to Mars

~Fight for Love~

God is with you.
God cares for you.
He comes to the heart.
He comes to the small town known as your life.

Even when you are hurting,
Even when you deny the truth,
Even when you feel like no one is there,

I can include myself with you.
Sometimes my gifts are not used
And I squander my talents away.
But if I run back home, God is there.

He sees me in the distance,
And he welcomes me home with open arms.
We fall, we hurt, we sin,
But when we repent mercy takes us into a fatherly embrace.

There was a man who took it all.
Let me live in that mans scars.
There was a man who took it all,
And I wish to live like He is alive.

God cares for you.
If He cares for a wretch like me
He must care for you.
Seek God and let his love flow through you.

We are at war.
We are an army of mercy and love.
Love God first
Love others with His love.

For God cares for you.
Fight for truth.
Become what you believe in.
Love God, love others.
Fight for mercy, fight for God.
For in the end, He wins.

I Cast Myself

My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
                                                                        ~ Psalm 121:2

~I Cast Myself~

Hope comes from the trial.
The fire we are cast into forms our salvation.
Hope comes from knowing The King.
The fire we are cast into forms our love.

We are cast into dens full of beasts.
We are cast into the depths, hoping to learn how to swim.
We are cast in situations where we think all hope is lost.
Fear can overtake our hope as we are cast into the fire.

I fall to my knees and cry out to God.
I fall down and offer up my love.
I cast myself into your arms.
Even in the trials, even in the pain.

I am lonely.
I am a man.
I am lonely.
I am human.

Bury the Word deep.
Bury the hope, so when fear comes we will never forget the Lord's goodness.
I can be lonely.
I am still a man.

Let me fear You, and not the things of this world.
Let the tribulation strengthen my resolve to know you more.
I am cast in situations that make me trust.
Even when I do not wish to.

My hope is in the things I cannot see.
My hope is in a God who lets me feel pain.
A God who lets pain strengthen me, and to show love to me.
I can be lonely, for I am a man.

My hope is formed from trials.
My hope comes from the Lord.
My life is worth nothing.
But He makes it something.

God does not fail me.
And is there when I am lonely.
God does not fail me.
And is there when pain comes.
When your eyes are dark and hope feels so far away, remember to rejoice for God does not fail.
